Expert Opinion
Block the number and report it to the FTC right away. When an unsolicited call claims to be from a public‑service utility and asks for recent statements or payment info, treat it as a scam and never share personal details. Verify any alleged notice by logging into your official account or calling the utility’s known customer‑service line—not the callback number left on the voicemail. Use your phone’s built‑in spam filter or a third‑party app to silence similar calls in the future. Keep a record of the caller ID and share it with your provider’s fraud department to help stop fraudulent outreach.

The caller claimed to be Miss Johnson, and asked me to call back regarding my public-service electric and gas utility account, which seemed suspicious.
The number that call me was 209.237.1013, it good to know that the message is consistent with the other call
This is clearly a scam.
I recieved a voice message from this number, but the call back number is different, why is PSE&G calling me from a different state
The caller claimed to be from PSE&G, but I recognized it as a scam, having previously received similar calls from an Alabama number.
This is a total scam, as indicated by the originating number, 208.203.9765, and I don't even live in an area served by PSE&G
There a scam going on, the caller claim to be Miss Johnson and ask you to call back about a notice on your public service electric and gas utility account, dont do it
Interestingly, Miss Johnson left a message, which is odd because PSEG, my employer, does not make calls about bills
