Apple verification code scam – what to watch out for! - +1 916-399-5005 ((916) 399-5005)

専門家の見解
If you get a call from +19163995005 and the caller claims you need an Apple verification code, it's almost certainly a scam. These fraudsters try to convince you that someone tried to log in to your Apple ID and ask for the code you just received. Never share that code or any personal info over the phone. Hang up, verify any security alerts directly in your Apple account or through the official Apple website, and consider enabling two‑factor authentication. If you’re unsure, contact Apple Support yourself using a known number or the app. Staying skeptical saves you from identity theft.

Det är ett bedrägeri. Jag har inte använt mitt Apple‑ID på över fem år, men plötsligt fick jag två SMS med nya Apple‑koder och kort därefter ringde bedragaren.
