Picture this: an automated voice claims to be from Yahoo, warning you of a password change and demanding a verification code. The call often cites a location like Salt Lake and may come from a toll‑free number. These scams aim to lock you out and hijack your account. Hang up immediately, never share codes, and block the number on your phone. Report the incident to the FTC and your phone carrier, and enable two‑factor authentication on your accounts. Keep software updated and educate household members about such phishing tactics. Staying skeptical and proactive is your best defense.
