When I called the toll-free number, I was informed that they could process my rebate, but when pressed for more information, they revealed themselves to be from SmartEnergy, despite the toll-free number not matching their official number, raising significant suspicions.

The message on my phone was hard to understand, the guy had a thick accent, said he was Stephen from Smart Energy, something about a rebate check, but I dont think its legit, Eversource wouldnt need another company to call me.
The caller claimed I was eligible for a rebate check and asked me to call back and request extension 11843.
Apparently they want me to contact Hector @1-888-301-7543 ext 1194 or 1193, dont know whats goin on with this company
