It's unlikly that American Express would put a wrong phone number on the back of your credit card, I dont belive that at all.
As of 2022, this number, still printed on the back of the current card but absent from the AMEX website, seems to be linked to a fraudulent entity that has compromised card and SS data, resulting in account lockdown.
