In bustling cities like New York during peak hours, calls from unknown numbers often spike with scam attempts. This one targets small businesses with fake Google listings, pressing for personal details to steal identities. Hang up immediately—never share info like Social Security numbers or bank details. Block the number on your phone and report it to the FTC at ftc.gov/complaint. Enable caller ID apps for better screening, and verify business listings directly on Google's site. Staying vigilant cuts risks; these scammers prey on trust, but quick action protects privacy.
