The script typically creates urgency by mentioning sealed files, court dates, or jail time, then pushes you to call a second number for a “payment” that never resolves the issue. Never share personal or financial details with an unknown caller, and do not call back the number they provide. Verify any claim by contacting the court or the alleged creditor directly using official contact info. Block the number, report it to the FTC, and educate family members about the legal‑scam tactics.
It's astonishing how long it takes some people to recognize a scam when they see one, hopefully reading previous warnings will open their eyes to the truth.
Apparently, some people actually believe they will receive a letter from these individuals
Despite their claims of owed money and threats of court action, when I contacted them, they were unable to provide clear information about the debt. They promised a letter explaining the situation, but after over a month, no letter arrived, and they continue to bother my family with jail threats.
These scammers claim to have received a fax or complaint, stating a legal matter is pending, and attempt to create urgency by threatening to serve papers at home or work, demanding money to resolve the issue.
Has there been a follow-up call from them?
I recieved multiple calls and they also called my family, they left a voicemail saying i can file a claim in the county, i dont know whats going on
