Like a snake oil salesman slipping into your voicemail, these calls promise an urgent extended warranty that you never asked for. Callers claim to be from Dealer Services or use random names, then pressure you with tight deadlines and reference numbers that sound official. They often misstate your vehicle’s make, model, or ownership status to create urgency. Hang up, never provide personal or payment info, and block the number. Report the incident to the FTC, your state attorney general, and the Better Business Bureau. Keep a log of the call details, and let a trusted dealer verify any legitimate warranty offers.
