We received a notice about an old phone number concerning an unpaid bill, which seemed suspicious, prompting me to hang up during the call.

Opinia expertului
Often callers greet you with a ‘hello’ and then drop into dead air, leaving you wondering if it’s a scam or a legit collection attempt. The number 1‑877‑235‑8552 is frequently linked to silent calls that disappear as soon as you answer, a hallmark of robocall scams. When the same number is claimed to be from Windstream’s debt department, treat it with caution. First, verify the source by calling an official company line you find on a bill, not the callback number. Never share banking or Social Security info, and use your phone’s block feature or a reputable call‑blocking app. Report persistent offenders to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection office.
