Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, the texts that quote +1‑872‑903‑7240 pretend to be Yahoo support but are classic phishing attempts. They create urgency by warning of account deletion within 48 hours, a tactic to push recipients into clicking malicious links or revealing credentials. The caller ID spoofing is easily done, so the displayed number offers no guarantee of legitimacy. Treat any unsolicited request for personal data or account action with skepticism, verify directly through official Yahoo channels, and never reply to the message or click embedded links. Enable two‑factor authentication and consider blocking the number to reduce future exposure.
