After contacting Fifth Third Bank through a verified number, they confirmed that the call from 866-450-0037 was fraudulent, impersonating them to steal information.
A message was left stating I needed to call back regarding a matter with 5th Third Bank, despite having no accounts with them; upon calling back, they requested my social security number, indicating a potential scam.
They asked for my ssn and adress, but wouldnt tell me the purpos of the call, its clearley a fraud.
Every week, i recieve a call from this number, but they never leaves a message

The caller rings multiple times daily, reaching our automated system, but the voicemail left is always blank
After reciving an Apple Pay verification txt, I got multiple calls from this number, the caller claimd to be from the fraud division and said that unauthorized charges were made to my credit card, they need the verification code to confirm my identity; I refusd and told them I would contact the credit card company directly, then the caller hung up on me. I contacted my credit card company and they confirm that someone was trying to link my card to Apple Pay.
This number is associated with a collections company for 5/3, but not directly part of the bank; multiple calls were received after a late payment, despite making the payment online.
A claim was made regarding an outstanding debt and the possibility of settling it on the same day.
Having a loan with 5/3, I was contacted by a woman with an Asian accent claiming there were issues with my account, but I refused to provide information without a clear explanation

There's an auto loan account in my name at 5th Third Bank, but they've never reached out for any purpose. If this were genuine, they'd probably leave a voicemail. No missed payments or prior notices, so no cause for contact. This seems like a phishing attempt.
5/3 is a legit bank, but this number is obvious a scam for theft
After receiving six calls from this number in one day, all of which ended in a hang-up, I called back and was asked for my account number or social security number by an automated attendant.
It's commendable how thoroughly everything has been documented! Having just started receiving these calls, with two instances already by noon, it's clear that a scam is likely underway, particularly given the targeting of 5/3 account holders.
