Several calls from this line left voicemails claiming to be American Express, asking to verify a request and providing a PIN, though I never initiated any AMEX transaction—clearly a phishing scam.

Impersonation of American Express has been reported, with callers pretending to represent the company.

It's puzzling why they call my phones almost daily without leaving any messages, a behavior that's been ongoing for over three months, and upon callback, they requested sensitive information like my SS number, which I find highly suspicious.

According to American Express, this number and call are not affiliated with them.

Following two seperate calls, firstly from a individual with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from AmEx, sounding absolutly fake, and then a male caller with a similar tone, I imediatly confronted him about beeing a scammer and demanded they remove my number.

Call's were made to both my cell and home number saying it was a personal matter. The call back number is 1-800-567-1083. They answer American Express and then ask for your AmEx card number. These people have been calling me for a week now, claiming to be AmEx or hanging up. I called AmEx, who confirmed that they never called me and that AmEx does not reach out by calling it's customer's. I'm glad I contacted the real AmEx.

Be cautious not to share your SSN; I contacted American Express, and they confirmed there were no issues with my account, so I canceled my cards and requested new ones.

Some fake scammers are pretending to be from Amex, they somehow have informations about my account and even contacted a distant relative, asking about my application.

This was definately a fake AMEX call, i've never had a Amex card.

Beware of this number, it appears to be untrustworthy. For verification, I suggest contacting AMEX directly using a known good number to inquire if they have attempted to reach you. If you're not an AMEX customer, it's advisable to avoid returning this call.

The number that shows up on my phone is American Express, but the number they leave on the voicemail, if they leave one, is not, i have a american express card, and i called them to check, they said no one called me, but i still get calls from this guy!

After experiencing repeated calls from this number, I contacted American Express, and they confirmed my suspicions of fraud, advising me never to respond to such calls.

Beware of this number, as it appears to be a scam with some users falsely claiming it to be legitimate.
