Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a call that claims it needs to confirm a Target gift card is often a scam trap. Scammers use familiar brand names to gain trust and pressure you into revealing codes or making a payment. Never share card numbers, PINs, or personal info over the phone, and always verify the request by logging into your official Target account or contacting customer service directly. Hang up if the caller asks for immediate action, block the number, and report the incident to the FTC or your phone carrier. Staying skeptical and double‑checking protects you from costly fraud.
