FedEx Ground address‑verification scam – how to stay safe! - +1 833-372-5815 ((833) 372-5815)

Upon reception of a call from Angel, who claimed to be a FedEx representative, I was advised that a package delivery attempt had been made and my address needed verification. A phone number, 833-372-5815, and reference number, 420157, were provided, but I didnt call back due to the review of report I read when I checked out the phone number.

Apparently it was a fake call claiming to be from fed ex ground

A person with a thick accent called, asking to verify my address due to delivery issues with a package. Given my new development is not even listed on Google, this wasn't entirely unusual. However, when I started asking questions, the phone was muted, and the person's response was suspicious. I asked them to return the package, and they panicked. I hung up, placed a credit alert, and have been closely monitoring my bank statements and changing passwords as a precaution.

They wanted me to verify my adress, but the driver could not find it, thats what they said

This is clearly a fraudulent attempt.

This was not a genuine call from Fedex, it was a scam

The caller left a message stating that a delivery had failed and provided an ID number, after being on hold for a few minits, a man with a thick accent answered and asked for my ID, at which point I ended the call.

A suspicious voicemail from a supposed FedEx Ground representative prompted an internet search, which failed to link the provided callback number to FedEx. The message mentioned a package delivery issue and requested a return call with a unique identifier. Notably, the caller's accent was thick, similar to what others have described.

A message from 'Alex' with a possible Eastern European accent mentioned a reference number for a ground shipment and requested a return call to obtain a tracking number. However, upon contacting FedEx, it was explained that a tracking ID is necessary to investigate further, revealing this to be a scam.

At 12:15 a.m., a call was received from someone claiming to be from FedEx, addressing me by name, but when asked for identification, the caller merely repeated a name I couldn't recall due to being awakened from sleep, and stated they thought they were calling a business before apologizing and hanging up, at least displaying politeness.

The call was recieved near 10PM, the voicemail claimed to be from FedEx ground and needed to confirm my delivary address, it was concerning because they had my work cell phone number and client information

A caller claiming to need information about a ground package attempted to confirm my address, but I suspected a scam due to the suspicious caller ID and outdated company reference.

Scammers, including a woman with an Indian accent and a man with a Mexican accent, have targeted multiple individuals

Apparently, this number is involved in a scam where they claim to have attempted delivery of a package, but a quick online search reveals the truth.

A man, whose voicemail we already erased, contacted our company stating they had attemted to deliver a package but were unsuccesfull and wanted to verify our adress.

Further investigation is needed to determine if fraud has occurred, as the company already had the verified address on file, which is concerning given that it's a new address

It's concerning that FedEx hasn't investigated this issue, as it appears someone is using package information to obtain names and phone numbers, even detailing who shipped the package and requesting confirmation of my mailing address.
