I received a call from this number, which appeared as 'OFFICERS' on my caller ID. When I called back, a recorded message stated that no one was available to take my call, which seemed very unusual.

ความคิดเห็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญ
When the line goes dead the moment you answer, it’s a classic sign of a silent‑call scam. Callers flash a police‑related ID, claim to be raising funds for a officers’ charity, then drop the call or play a dead‑air recording. This tactic aims to bait curiosity, harvest a "yes" if you speak, or simply harass enough to sell your number. Block the number, add it to the Do Not Call list, and never press any keys if a voice prompt appears. Report repeat offenders to your carrier and the FTC. If you suspect a fraud, hang up immediately and don’t engage.
