I just send a huge text, and then i call'd the number that i sent as fraud, it's a JPMORGAN CHASE BANK number, but the person on the phone wasnt from the bank, they was spoofing the number
Initially, I received a text message purporting to be from Chase Bank, inquiring about a wire transfer, which I did not respond to, prompting a subsequent phone call from someone claiming to be from the Chase Fraud department, who provided a case number and name, and requested I respond to the original text message, a request I complied with, but their follow-up asking for my ID and password raised significant concerns, leading me to terminate the call and verify the authenticity of the Chase Fraud department's contact information.
A call from this number was answered in error, with the caller claiming to represent consumer services before being hung up on.
This is a phishing scam, where the caller claims to be from Chase, investigating a fraudulent wire transfer. They requested my credentials, but when I offered to call the fraud department, the caller hung up. I verified the legitimacy of the call with Chase, confirming my suspicions.
