I didnt recieve a call but got a mailing today, it had Avis and United logo on it but wasnt a solicitation for timeshare, i didnt bother to call the number
Today, I recived a stupid looking offical letter in the mail, like when you get a store rebate or a refund check, but it was a scam, obviously.

I got the same postcard few days ago in Portland OR, it sounded to good to be true and the card look a bit suspisous; they was trying to get ahold of me...what? I was about to make the call but then I decided to Google the 800 number and found this thread, glad I didnt pick up the phone!

On December 20, 2007, I received a postcard that seemed to be part of a deceptive campaign. While it's clear how to report spam and phishing emails to the FTC, the process for postcards is less straightforward. I'd like to contribute to stopping these types of campaigns, but I'm unsure of the proper procedure.
