Opinión del experto

Picture this: you answer a call and the stranger claims to be an investigator for a magazine company, demanding payment to avoid a court case. Across multiple complaints, the same script surfaces—intimidation, bogus docket numbers, and threats to involve family members. The safest move is to hang up immediately, never share personal or banking details, and block the number on your device. Report the call to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection agency, and keep a log of dates and any voicemail. If you’re unsure whether a debt is legitimate, contact the actual magazine directly using known contact information.

This is a magazine company that tried to scam us 5 years ago, and they called again today, probabbly wondering where the money is, but they will never see it, and I've reported them to the federal consumer fraud department, or at least I think that's who it was.
