Received spam claiming to be a Target recruiter saying I’d been picked by a bunch of online agencies with a promise of $120k a year. Totally absurd, bro.

Reports of unsolicited calls claiming recruiter status from major retailers like Target often signal fraudulent job offers. In this instance, the caller promised an unrealistic $120,000 salary based on vague online selections, a classic scam tactic to lure job seekers. Such pitches exploit economic pressures but rarely lead to legitimate opportunities—most real recruiters don't cold-call with sky-high pay promises. Hang up immediately on similar calls, and report the number to the FTC or your carrier to help block it. Verify any job leads through official company sites, and enable spam filters on your phone for added protection.
