Patterns emerging suggest the caller is posing as a Windows tech support agent to push remote‑access software. This classic scam exploits fear of computer problems and often uses a spoofed number to appear legitimate. The safest move is to refuse any unsolicited request for remote tools, hang up, and block the number. Verify any support claim through official company channels before acting. Consider installing a call blocker app and keep your operating system updated to reduce vulnerability. Remember, genuine tech support will never demand immediate access without prior scheduling.
Scammers often use spoofed numbers to trick victims into granting remote access; to avoid this, never download remote access software.
