Думка експерта

Surprisingly, the same number shows up on dozens of complaint threads, all pointing to a bogus third‑party that pretends to be RBC. Callers usually claim to offer fraud‑protection or a new banking product, then push for personal details or a quick enrollment. Never share names, account numbers, or passwords unless you’ve initiated the call from a verified RBC line. Hang up, block the number in your phone, and report the incident to RBC’s fraud department and your local consumer‑protection agency. If you’re ever unsure, call RBC directly using the number on their official website—not the one that just rang.

This is definatly a scam, the number called and the lady sounded like a robot, she wanted me to enroll in a program offered through RBC and asked me to confirm my name and email adress, i gave her a wrong name and email, i kept asking for a valid number to call to enroll in the program later and she kept prompting me to enroll in what she was offering

A call from someone claiming to work with RBC began innocently enough, as they offered a new service aimed at protecting against identity theft and fraud. However, the conversation took a suspicious turn when the representative requested my permission to enroll me in the program, insisting that I respond with either 'yes' or 'no.' The robotic tone and persistence of the caller raised significant red flags, indicating a potential scam.
