Expert Opinion
Watch out for suspicious messages claiming to be from Amazon. These texts often try to trick you into sharing a verification code that can be used to hijack your WhatsApp or other accounts. Treat any unsolicited request for a code as a red flag, especially if it comes via a personal chat app rather than an official channel. Verify the sender by checking the official Amazon app or website, and never forward codes to unknown numbers. If you suspect a phishing attempt, block the number, report it to your carrier, and consider enabling two‑factor authentication on all accounts. Staying cautious keeps your personal data safe.
