Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, this caller masquerades as a utility rep to snag your info. Reports indicate someone posing as PSE&G, pushing service rebates that sound too good to be true—classic bait for scams. Hang up immediately if they press for personal details or payments; real utilities don't cold-call for rebates. Block the number and report to the FTC to shield others. Stay vigilant: verify any rebate claims directly through official PSE&G channels, not unsolicited lines. Scam alert: these tactics prey on trust in familiar brands.
