Olivia introduced herself as from World Retrieval, knew my first name, and asked if I'd lost money in the markets. Being in NZ while the call originated from Ontario raised immediate suspicion. I repeatedly asked her to repeat her name and location due to poor call quality. When I inquired how she obtained my details, she ended the call. Definitely a recovery scam.

On 16th Jan 2024 they claimed I lost money on the market, which is absurd since I have no investments; they even knew my first name. I ended the call.
They possessed my name and phone number, likely from a prior privacy breach or a local car‑sale ad. I kept them on the line briefly before they grew frustrated and disconnected. They tried to retrieve money from nonexistent investments, even using other spoofed numbers across Ontario and elsewhere with the same nonsense.

On January 16th I received two calls from this number; when I returned the call I was told the line is out of service.
