A quick scan of recent reports shows a wave of spam texts that claim to offer a "receipt" via a shady link. The messages typically read "View your receipt here" and direct users to a suspicious domain that mimics retail sites. Recipients should avoid clicking any embedded URLs and delete the message immediately. If a link was opened, run a malware scan and consider changing passwords for any accounts that might have been exposed. Blocking the source number can reduce future chatter, but scammers often rotate IDs. Stay vigilant and verify any unexpected purchase notifications through official merchant channels.
