Claimed to be from Chase Bank Security. I'm located in Florida. They mentioned an attempt in Dallas to open a credit card in my name over the weekend and knew my last four social security digits. It was frightening. I said I'd contact Chase directly and ended the call. Chase confirmed no applications or inquiries

A person claiming to represent Chase Bank contacted me, stating that someone in North Carolina had opened a credit card in my name, providing my last 4 SS# digits and home address in Orlando, FL, but claiming to be calling from California; when I expressed skepticism, the caller became defensive.
