A person claiming to be Steve Harvey from PCH contacted me, stating I had won a substantial amount of money, but required me to purchase gift cards, which I discovered to be a scam after researching PCH's legitimate practices on YouTube.

Opinione dell’esperto
Imagine getting a call that claims you’ve just won a multi‑million‑dollar prize and all you have to do is buy a few gift cards. That scenario pops up far too often, and the red flags are glaring: unsolicited windfalls, pressure to act fast, and requests for prepaid cards. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and never share personal or payment info. Verify any alleged winnings directly with the official company—don’t rely on the caller’s name or a fake website. Report the number to the FTC and your phone carrier to help block future scams. Staying skeptical is your best defense.
