Block the number and keep a written record of every call. Never share personal or banking info with anyone who pressures you over the phone, especially if they claim to represent a law firm without providing a license number. Answering calls isn’t required; let them leave a voicemail and verify the agency through official channels. If the calls persist, file a complaint with the FTC, your state attorney general, and the Better Business Bureau. Consider adding the number to your phone’s Do Not Call list and use call‑blocking apps. Staying silent and documenting the harassment are your best defenses against this aggressive debt‑collection scam.

A recent call from 877-249-7294 was particularly troubling, as the caller was rude and requested that I verify my address without disclosing their company or purpose. After some persistence, they revealed themselves to be from Joseph, Mann and Creed, although I had to ask them to repeat the name. I refused to provide the requested information, and they became agitated, stating that they would continue to call me. Further research revealed that the company is a collection agency, although I have no outstanding debt and have always paid my bills on time.
Apparently, this number belongs to iQor HOLDINGS US, INC. companie
This company persistently calls regarding a residence owned over a decade ago, making threats and eventually changing their caller ID to 'Allied Interstate'.
I was surprised to receive a collection letter from Joesph, Mann, and Creed regarding an outstanding balance on my late father's Hughes Net account, despite having previously settled the matter with Hughes Net themselves.
I am unfamiliar with the individuals associated with this number.
Harassing calls continue to be made for a paid debt, with the representative being rude
A man named Melvin, posing as a lawyer from JMC, left a message claiming I had incurred debt, but after researching, I believe this to be a scam
This company just called me saying we owe insurance on a car we havent owned in 3 years, they are kinda rude, i hung up but they keep calling, thats wierd
Our experience with Joseph Mann & Creed began with a letter stating that we owed the Dallas Morning News for an unpaid subscription. After requesting proof of the subscription, we received a threatening letter instead, leading me to contact them and threaten legal action if they continued to harass us. A representative named Lisa assured me that the case would be closed, but I suspect that their tactics are those of a scam, preying on people who may inadvertently pay false claims.
Similarly, we have been targeted by this number, with claims of owing a substantial amount, $4300.00, which is significantly higher than our actual debt of $900.00
Receipt of two letters claiming a debt of $55 to Fiserv F/K/A Checkfree without providing any informative details suggests a scam, reflecting the increasing boldness of such fraudulent activities.
While throwing away old documents, i found a suspicious address, phone number, and website that appeard to be linked to an extorsion and terrorist group in Texas.
These people are totaly scammer's, they cant even get a real job, completly unprofessional
This landline number is associated with a company called XO Communications, and it's been reported that an employee is utilizing this number to deceive people out of their money; therefore, it's advisable to verify any outstanding debt information directly with the company
The call was answered, but there was only silence on the other end, which is quite bizarre
As of this morning, the calls continue, and the approach remains to not answer them.
A call was received regarding a deceased family member, with the caller claiming a complaint existed, but becoming hostile when questioned further, ultimately hanging up.
It's questionable how this company maintains an A+ BBB rating, given the baseless threats and claims, such as the demand for Super Pages debt repayment, which is not owed.
I cancelled our service with super pages years ago, so this call is harassment, mind your own bussines and stop botherning people, you're obviously working for this company and using scare tactics
Some guy from a collection agency called me, sayin he was from Apollo Creed or somethin, i just hung up on him
It is unlikely that out-of-state callers can take legal action without first hiring a local attorney, which is why they often become aggressive
The caller claimed that an outstanding advertising bill from four years prior was owed, but the conversation was terminated when the recording of the call was declined.
I didnt recieve a call from them, but I got a letter, and when I tried to call them back, no one answered, it's a compleat joke, I'm considering sueing the newspaper company for sending me papers I didnt want, and now they're trying to collect a debt from me
Upon receiving a call from this mysterious number at my workplace, I initially denied being available, opting instead to gather more information about the caller's intentions. After noting down her details to relay later, I was shocked to discover that she had contacted my boyfriend's cell phone in an attempt to reach me. When questioned about the source of his number, she became evasive, stating that she required a conversation with me without disclosing how she obtained his contact information. Further research into the company yielded numerous online forums discussing their practices, which has deterred me from returning their call. Recently, I obtained a copy of my credit report, which shows no outstanding debts, leading me to believe that any legitimate claims would be reflected there.
This morning, I received a call with a message stating it was for Lee's plumbing regarding an overdue payment to a client.
Similar experiance here, they claimed i owed money to my local newspaper, but i had canceled the subscription months ago, so i dont owe them anything, its a scam.
My caller ID showed a different number, (216) 588-1145, as the origin of the call
Repeated calls have been made to my home number claiming that someone named April Franklin has made calls to Joseph Mann and Creed, despite no such person living at my address, and despite my numerous requests to have our number removed from their database
