Looks like the number 866‑536‑7304 is being used by a debt collector outfit that calls under the name Credence. The calls are repetitive, rarely leave a voicemail, and the agents often demand personal info or claim to represent a TV service. That pattern matches a classic collection‑scam operation. If you’re not expecting a bill, let the call go to voicemail, block the number, and file a complaint with the FTC or your state’s attorney general. Never give out your SSN, credit‑card number, or bank details, and ask for a written validation notice if the debt is genuine.
For weeks, this number has been dialing me 2-4 times daily, yet they never bother to leave a message when I don't pick up. It's frustrating, especially during these pandemic times, and my VOIP block list hasn't been able to stop them. The caller ID doesn't provide much information either.

This number has contacted me claiming to be from Direct TV collections, but their unprofessional conduct and lack of provided information raise suspicions about their legitimacy

Upon answering, a person with a foreign accent was on the other end, laughing, and repeatedly mentioning 'corona', which seemed extremely bizarre and unclear in intent.
This is obviosly a spam cal, dont answer it.
These ppl are calling me constintly, 2 or 3 times a day, its criminal

A so called RESEARCH COMPANY called on a recorded line, and after I questioned him severl times, he finaly told me what it was about, but then he asked if he could call back and I said no, so he hanged up and now the number is blocked.
This is a scam.

When asked about the company and purpose of the call, the caller only responded with 'Is this John Doe?', without providing further information.
A call from a man with a foreign accent kept asking if he had the right person on the line.

During the period of January 2, 2020 to January 8, 2020, i recieved 9 calls from this phone number,-at morning and afternoon, it's suspecious and seem like a scam caller
Frequent calls are being made, often at regular intervals. A Robo Blocker app has been downloaded, which has proven to be effective in handling such calls by using pre-recorded messages to deter them.
Upon receiving the call, it became apparent that the foreign caller was being evasive about their business affiliation and instead focused on soliciting my personal information, ignoring my requests to be removed from their list, which I found particularly troubling given my lack of affiliation with Direct TV.
Tonight's call from this number displayed Toll Free Number on the Caller ID, but I chose not to answer, having received similar calls from other numbers earlier in the day.

Throughout the call, I requested to speak to a supervisor, but the foreign woman persisted in asking for my credit card number, which is a clear indication of fraud.
Upon answering, I could hear other operators in the background, however the caller remained silent.

The accent on the other end was heavily Pakistani or Indian, rendering the conversation unintelligible, and I made it clear that I do not engage with foreign callers.
A collection agency is calling for the wrong person. They call and call and call again. I tell them this call is ilegal they just say OK. and call again. I tell them they have reached the wrong person and take my name off there list. but they continue calling, its anoying
Fortunately, our home phone is equipped with a spam blocker, which has been helpful in preventing unwanted calls from scammers like this one.
